The Wheatsheaf Inn is a lovely old 18th Century Freehouse located just off the A41 between Chester and Whitchurch. It is handily placed near to the Shropshire Union canal, the Sandstone Trail and the Cheshire Cycleway (Route 70). There is a range of board games behind the bar such as Scrabble, Othello, Monopoly and playing cards. Now under new tenants from May 2017, there are two real ales available and a new food menu. Two more handpumps are being planned for the bar. The surprisingly large garden at the back has now been opened out and picnic tables installed.
