Notes for Licencees....
We sometimes get asked by licencees how they can become more active in the branch etc. This page will give you some pointers as to how we can help promote your pub.
CAMRA holds a national databse that aims to hold details of all pubs and clubs in the country. Please check your entry by searching within https://whatpub.com/. (Note - at the bottom of the pub page it will indicate which CAMRA branch the pub is located in and when the info was last updated). If anything is out-of-date please use the feedback function to send us updates. This can be hi-res photographs, opening times, social media, facilities, beers etc. This will ensure that people around the country who use whatpub searches to find pubs by location or facilites will be able to find you easily.
Covid-19.....This has obviously affected the details of many pubs with temporary closures or different opening times. Please let us know these changes so that we can keep your details up-to-date for customers.
This is the simplest way to get involved as we are always on the lookout for pub and brewery news. Many pubs publish photos of their current beer range and tag us in on them. We are always happy to repost these items on Twitter/Facebook. You can find the links on the menu on the left.
Host a branch meeting
If you have a quiet area that can seat up to 20 people then we may be able to host a branch meeting at your pub. The only other thing we need is a well-stocked bar! Transport may be an issue but if you get in touch we may be able to sort something.
Submit an article
Articles about branch pubs are always welcome, especially with photographs. We can put them on this website and even into the 'Out Inn Cheshire' Newsletter which is distributed to pubs all around Cheshire http://outinncheshire.co.uk/. Items such as future plans, current renovations, why you started as a licencee or took over your particular pub. Anything of interest would be welcome.
Help out at a Beer Festival
Help out at either of the beer festivals that the branch organises. https://casc.camra.org.uk/viewnode.php?id=59990 Volunteers are always welcome and you can wear your pub tshirts at the event and get mentioned in the programme.
We offer programme advertising in our beer festivals, on the Chester Pub Leaflet and also in Out Inn Cheshire. If you'd like to advertise with us then get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.
Good Beer Guide
Pubs are nominated for the guide by members or if we spot the beer scoring via Whatpub merits a nomination. The nominees are then assessed and voted on once a year. If you want to have a chance of making the guide then simply serve consistently good real ales all year round and you will get noticed! The competition is very high though and many great pubs don't make the limited allocation unfortunately.
