Known locally as the Hole in the Wall, this friendly pub overlooks the delightful Clywedog River and is adjacent to the Clywedog Industrial Trail. It is popular with locals, walkers and visitors to the nearly Bersham Heritage Centre. The wood panelled bar serves two rooms, both with real fires in winter, and a side lounge with log burner. Basic hot bar food is available all day. Beer & music festival usually held over August bank hol weekend. The sort of place you immediately feel at home. The No.6 bus, from Wrexham, stops close to the pub, or get nos 2/3 and walk across from Rhostyllen. Pub may close early if quiet.
