New Brighton pubs by train & bus

Jim Shapton will be leading a tour using trains and busses round the pubs in New Brighton .

Meet at Chester station in time for the 12:01 train to Hamilton Square arriving at 12:36 then bus (frequent service, takes 10 mins) to Rake Lane (top of a hill one mile south of the coast)

The pubs to be visited are as follows:

The Magazine Hotel,(GBG) 7 Magazine Brow, CH45 1HP which is a very famous pub, particularly for the draft Bass it's been serving for ever, on the Mersey river frontage.

Then back on the bus to New Brighton station to catch the return train with optional stopover at Gallaghers (GBG) at Hamilton Square. Gallaghers is also an option on the outward journey.

Cost: £5.95 for a Merseyelectrics day ticket or, for anyone without a bus pass, £6.30 for a Saveaway.
