Beer Festival Volunteers

As usual, we need volunteers for a variety of roles for set up and take down as well as during the festival.

Set up and take down are where everything essential to putting on a great festival really happens. Preparing the premises, building the stillage and then the really important part, racking and preparing the beer. Then after all of the fun and the visitors have all gone home, the essential task of clearing the site still needs to be completed. Resourcing set up and take down are as essential as working the festival itself, so if you are able, please give consideration to helping out before and after the festival days. If you’ve not done it before, there’s a few new skills to be learnt! To learn more about volunteering please refer to the CAMRA Festival Volunteer Handbook

During the festival, the biggest job is serving beer, but other essential jobs, such as door, glasses, vouchers and games must be covered also. Jobs are allocated on the basis of a rota and during each session you may be given a variety of tasks to do.

Set up Days

Monday 26th June 2023 and Tuesday 27th June 2023 9am to 5pm There is a wide mix of things which will need to be done on these days, with plenty of options for people to be present all or just part of the day. Please discuss this direct with the staffing manager.

Festival Days

Friday 30th June 2023 and Saturday 1st July 2023 Open hours Friday 16:00-23:00 and Saturday 12:00-23:00.

The festival runs continuously throughout the open hours, please advise the hours you can volunteer for.

Pre-open slots are when essential activities to make ready for opening (including training) take place, so please do volunteer for these if you plan to be around for the opening hour. If you are starting later in the day, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first slot to allow time for training.

There are activities required for clearing up after the festival has closed each day, if you are able to remain to help, that would be much appreciated.

Take Down Day

Sunday 2nd July 2023 9am to 5pm Dismantling of the equipment.

Please register your interest by completing the Beer Festival Volunteer Form and return to ku.gro.armac.csac@gnireetnuloVlavitseFreeB. Otherwise please provide your details along with any jobs you would prefer NOT to do to ku.gro.armac.csac@gnireetnuloVlavitseFreeB

We will aim to respond to your application within 3 working days. The final confirmation and information pack will be sent out in early June 2023.
