Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic this pub is currently offering additional services:

Since lockdown we have been operating as a shop and take away for the village community. With no village shop it was a much needed life line for the village and has been so well received that we have been overwhelmed with support. The shop has daily deliveries of fresh meat, veg, and milk delivered from local suppliers who have been amazing, as well as lots of household staples. We also deliver groceries and take away to the vulnerable and those self isolating. Darren and I have been doing this alone since March as staff were furloughed and latterly with the help of our dear friend Enda, lovingly known as Granville (with the coat to match). It has been a wonderful, if exhausting experience to see the village pulling together and we have been so proud to be part of it.

Welcoming family run village freehouse benefiting from a smart major refurbishment in Spring 2018. The split level interior includes a small raised front room with plenty of seating and a TV (showing BT Sports). The bar room has Indian stone flooring, a real fire, an American-style booth plus table football. There is a small patio area to the front and a beer garden through the rear. Up to three real ales are available, changing regularly but usually including one from Big Hand and one from Weetwood. A full menu is served each evening Tues-Sun (5.00 – 8.30). Food (including a roast) is also served during the daytime on Sundays. B&B accommodation is available with disabled facilities.
